Highlights for November

1. Leisure Skills/Social Interaction

We are continuing to explore our interests during leisure time with our combined EES cohort. With some familiar friends and new friends, we are learning how to share and take turns. We have been enjoying playing on the playground and in the gym together. Our favourite activity is playing with the scooters. We have races and pull each other on the scooters. We also like playing tag and hide-and-seek outside.

2. Self Regulation/Sensory

Now that we have combined our cohorts in EES, we have set up our sensory room as a shared space. We use the sensory room regularly to help bring the classroom back to baseline so that we are ready to learn. Although we are not able to use all of our sensory items this year, we have been enjoying exploring the space and developing our sensory preferences. Our favourites include the inflatable rocking boat and the water tube.
